Actor Vijay’s party TVK preps for first state-level conference in Villupuram

Preparations are in full swing for the first mega state-level conference of actor Vijay’s newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party. Scheduled for October 27 in Vikravandi, Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu, the event is set to be a significant political gathering where Vijay will outline his party’s vision and ideologies.
The venue is already abuzz with activity as massive cutouts of Dr BR Ambedkar, Periyar, K Kamaraj, and Vijay himself have been erected, reflecting the party’s reverence for these leaders. During a previous public event, Vijay had urged students to read about Ambedkar, Periyar, and Kamaraj, underscoring their importance in shaping Tamil Nadu’s socio-political landscape.

Several committees have been formed to coordinate the event, with party workers working around the clock to ensure the success of this debut gathering. A special highlight of the event will be a long ramp extending from the stage, allowing Vijay to walk and greet party workers and supporters expected to attend in large numbers.
Recently, the actor-politician officially kick-started preparations for his party’s first state-level conference with a traditional “Bhumi Puja” (foundation stone) ceremony in Villupuram district. The ceremony, which took place early in the morning in Vikravandi, drew a large crowd of party workers and fans eager to witness the first few steps of the party in its political journey.
In a letter to his party cadres, Vijay expressed his commitment to both his party and the people of Tamil Nadu. He emphasised the significance of the upcoming state-level conference, calling it a turning point for the party. “The foundation stone was not only laid for the conference but for our political journey as well,” he wrote.
As Vijay’s party TVK gears up for its first major public meeting, all eyes are on his address, where he is anticipated to share his political vision and lay out the party’s roadmap for the future. This event marks a crucial moment for the actor-turned-politician as he ventures deeper into Tamil Nadu’s political arena.
